This is Life

Shattered dreams on the floor.
Hopes that hide behind closed doors.
We were born with wings, but never learned to fly.
And now we’re free falling, free falling from the sky.

And we’re all just a little lost right now.
And we’re all just trying to find ourselves somehow.
But I know, I know we’ll turn out fine.
The world keeps spinning. Time keeps ticking.
This is life.

Fragile hearts, that beat so fast.
Memories that chain our minds to the past.
We build up walls, and won’t let them break.
Brick by brick, as we lie awake.

And we’re all just a little lost right now.
